We are delighted to share some exciting news with our community.

Before the summer holidays, the Trust approved the installation of a brand-new enclosed dining area canopy at Woolwich Polytechnic School for Girls. Construction will begin during the October half-term break and is expected to take approximately three weeks to complete.

Once completed, this fantastic new space will provide seating for more than 200 students, creating a comfortable, modern environment that can be enjoyed throughout the year, whatever the weather.

Designed as a flexible space for our school community, the canopy will not only enhance students' dining experience but will also provide additional room for learning, group activities and school events when needed.

The new facility will include:

• LED lighting
• Air conditioning for heating and cooling
• Power supplies
• Data connections and Wi-Fi access

The safety of students, staff, visitors and contractors will remain our highest priority throughout the project. The construction area will be securely fenced off, with access restricted to authorised contractors only.

We are incredibly excited to see this development take shape and look forward to welcoming students into this wonderful new space very soon.
