Jeans for Genes Day - Friday 18th September 2026

Dear Families,

We’re excited to be supporting Jeans for Genes Day on Friday 18th September, raising awareness and vital funds for children and families affected by genetic conditions.

Jeans for Genes raises awareness of the daily challenges faced by those living with a genetic condition and funds projects that make a real difference to the lives of affected children and their families. The campaign also helps shine a light on organisations that provide vital support and celebrates the achievements of those living with genetic conditions.

Students are invited to wear as much denim as they like, including jeans, denim dresses, suitable-length denim skirts, denim shirts, jackets, and other denim accessories. Please ensure all clothing remains suitable for a school environment. Excessively short skirts or shorts, are not permitted. If students choose not to wear denim, they must attend in full school uniform as usual.

To take part, we ask for a minimum donation of £1, which can be made via our JustGiving page:

If donating is difficult for any reason, please contact your daughter's Form Tutor. Email addresses can be found on the school website under the Contact Us section.

Please note:

  • All students must wear their lanyard at all times.
  • Students taking part in Jeans for Genes Day must wear their lanyard.
  • Students without a lanyard will unfortunately be asked to go to the back of the break and lunch queue and will receive a reset.
