A Magical Evening at Woolwich Polytechnic School for Girls: Winter Concert 2025
Last night, Woolwich Polytechnic School for Girls hosted its annual Winter Concert - and what an incredible evening it was! With a packed audience, the event showcased the outstanding talent and creativity of our students, making this year’s concert bigger and better than ever.
We were thrilled to welcome staff and students from Bannockburn Primary School, who delighted the audience with two beautiful festive performances, complete with Christmas jumpers and Santa hats. Their contribution added an extra sparkle to the night!
The concert featured a wide variety of performances, including stunning solos, our vibrant Concert Band, the Year 10 Band, and a special reprise from this year’s school production of SIX. Our Queens returned to the stage for one more unforgettable performance, singing and dancing to songs from the show. The evening also included captivating piano and guitar pieces, highlighting the depth of musical talent within our school community.
A huge thank you goes to Ms Stamp and Ms Wright for their exceptional coordination, and to all the staff working tirelessly behind the scenes to make this event possible. These concerts are always such a special occasion, bringing our school community together in celebration of music, creativity, and festive cheer.
Ms Williams, Headteacher, shared her thoughts on the evening:
"The Winter Concert is one of my favourite events of the year. It’s a true celebration of the incredible talent we have at Woolwich Polytechnic School for Girls and the sense of community that makes our school so special. Seeing our students perform with such confidence and joy is inspiring, and I’m so proud of every single one of them. Thank you to everyone who made this magical evening possible."
