Woolwich Polytechnic School for Girls Proudly Supporting Breast Cancer Now

It’s Wear It Pink Day today!

We kicked off the morning with a vibrant Year 10 assembly, and we couldn’t resist snapping a photo of everyone dressed in their finest pink outfits. A wonderful way to raise awareness and show our support for such an important cause.

Celebrating Wear It Pink Day at Woolwich Polytechnic School for Girls

Today at WPSfG, we are proudly celebrating Wear It Pink Day to raise money for Breast Cancer Now. As a special touch, the admin team has brought in a beautiful spread of pink-themed food, inviting staff to donate and enjoy a treat - all in support of this important cause.

This initiative holds a deeply personal meaning for us. Our wonderful Office Manager, Mrs. Bridge, was diagnosed with breast cancer after attending her first mammogram at age 50. We are incredibly grateful that she is one of the lucky ones and continues to be a cherished part of our team.

Today, we wear pink not only for Mrs. Bridge, but for all survivors, and in loving memory of those we have lost. Thank you to everyone who has contributed, participated, and helped make today a meaningful celebration of hope, strength, and community.
