On Thursday 19th January author Candice Brathwaite will be coming into School to speak to Year 9 students about her new book 'Cut both ways'. 

The novel has been described as, 'A sharp and funny young adult love story that explores themes of race, class and the complexities of growing up as a black British teen'.

Students can pre-order a copy of the book on MCAS.

We make it our mission to make the Internet a safer place for children.

At National Online Safety, it is our mission to make the Internet a safer place for children. We will achieve this through equipping school staff, parents and children with the knowledge they need to understand online dangers and how best to react should an incident arise.

We recently took part in a project with Funding Solutions for Education working with local businesses and organisations to create 3,000 branded folders for our trust.

We firstly wanted to thank all the businesses that chose to take part in this project and for supporting our trust, our schools, and our vision. Thank you to the following businesses:

We have just received the folders and wanted to share how amazing they look; the quality of print and design is fantastic. These folders are very versatile in that they can hold a number of booklets/documents and will be used for a number of different reasons. We cannot wait to start using these folders across PolyMAT, Woolwich Polytechnic Sixth Form, Woolwich Polytechnic School for Boys and Woolwich Polytechnic School for Girls. This has been a fantastic project, and we have thoroughly enjoyed working with FSE.

Take a look at the custom artwork that we have had made to celebrate our four house heroes: Frida Kahlo, Jane Austen, Rosa Parks and Marie Curie. There is a portrait of each hero with our favourite inspirational quote to match. We wanted some artwork that was clean, simple and unique to our school. These artworks have gone up in our reception foyer.

Woolwich Polytechnic School for Girls are looking to appoint an exceptional teacher of English/KS4 Co-Ordinator with a dynamic and inspirational approach to teaching, an individual that will become an integral part of the department, who will support the department in achieving its ambitious targets and goals.
